Venk Potula (also known as Guru) is an Indian-American comedian, best known for being one of the new cast members of Season 12 of the improv comedy show Wild 'N Out on MTV.




Biography[]

Venk Potula is an award-winning actor and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. He was personally discovered by Nick Cannon while dancing on the streets of Hollywood, CA, and since then has performed as Nick’s hype man on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Queen Latifah Show, and America’s Got Talent. Venk can also be spotted in the film "School Dance" and on television shows such as HBO’s Veep and BET’s The Comedy Get Down. Venk is a UCB Diversity Scholarship and Rod Steiger Award for Excellence in Acting scholarship-winner and graduated from the same Atlanta performing arts high school as Donald Glover. He acted opposite J.B. Smoove and Randy Jackson on Funny Or Die and has performed live onstage in N.Y.C.'s Times Square and on L.A.'s Universal CityWalk. He is thrilled to be back on Wild 'N Out for Season 12.
