Biography

He started posting videos on social media platforms such as Vine and made a name for himself in his hometown of Baton Rouge. He also became known for his different names such as "Mighty Mike", "Funny Ass Mike", or "girlhefunny". For a while, he would be referred to as "Mighty Mike" as he would later be signed to the independent record label "Travis Jones Entertainment". Johnson then released his first single "Hit That Bit For the Gram" which gained over 400,000 views. Johnson then gained prominence when he changed his stage name to "22 Savage" as he stole the song title "No Heart" and the album title "Savage Mode" from rapper 21 Savage in which Johnson responded with no shame and claim he was better than 21 Savage. Then in December 2016, Johnson released three diss tracks targeted towards 21 Savage but soon stopped going by the name "21 Savage" and began posting pranks, vlogs, and commentaries on YouTube as "FunnyMike". In 2018, he became a recurring cast member since Season 11 of Nick Cannon's improv comedy show Wild 'N Out on MTV. He also has a role in the sequel I Got the Hook Up 2 with Master P, which was released on July 12, 2019.
